The 2017 Summit of Intersections

The Summit of Intersections is for behavioral health, medical, social work, educator, and allied professionals to gain knowledge about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), and Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and how these three areas overlap and reinforce one another. Once an understanding of how ACEs affects one’s life-long lived experience is achieved, participants can reflect on the impact this has on IPV and SUD — and how IPV and SUD contribute to the next generation of ACEs. With a holistic understanding in place, registrants can then begin collaborating on action steps that medical, behavioral health, educational, governmental, business, religious, and allied institutions could take affect this cycle in a positive manner. Wells House is honored to be partnering with other local non-profits to present this important dialogue to our community.
